Hunting Rights May Become Constitutional Rights in Idaho

An Idaho Senate Committee has put together a proposal to create an amendment to Idaho's founding documents. The amendment would add hunting, fishing and trapping as a constitutional right, so these rights could not be threatened by some radical groups.

There is concern of undermining the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, but that is not the proposal's intent. It is designed to guarantee the traditions of many Idahoans.

The measure would have to receive support from two-thirds of the House and Senate before appearing on the ballot in November for the population to vote on. From LocalNews8.com.
