Florida Bears Tear Up Car

For reasons yet to be determined it appears that two black bears attempted to break into a Florida car. The Orlando Sentinel has the full story.

About 1 a.m., Swerdlow's neighbor saw two bears cuddling up to the car parked on Wyndham Court, a cul-de-sac not far from Wekiwa Springs State Park. The neighbor saw one bear climb on top of the car, and the other lean against it. Swerdlow said there was no food inside.

The bear damage isn't nearly as impressive as that inflected on a Mazda a few months ago.

Wow!! I didnt even think

Wow!! I didnt even think Florida had bears, I guess you learn something new every day. I hear about this stuff happening in my home state a few time a year but in Florida, do they have a big bear population? can you hunt them? I was watching a csi miami show once and they were at a crime scene and a Grizzly came out to harass them I knew that was a bunch a BS, But a black bear could have been true.

Maybe you just don't hear

Maybe you just don't hear about it too often, but this surprises me coming from Florida.

You hear about it happening in the west, occasionally somewhere on the east coast, but the deep south?  Huh!
